Domaine Kemicha is above all a family story initiated by The late Sidi Mohamed Kemicha(1881-1967)
who gave birth to an original domain of more than 600 hectares.
The dream of this pioneer was perpetuated by his children and grandchildren.
In « Terre des hommes » Saint Exupéry quotes this african proverb :
The “Domaine Kemicha” is located in Tunisia near the historic city of Kairouan with glorious past and cradle of authenticity
This city has hosted over the years many writers, artists, filmmakers and painters from around the world like Paul Klee who stayed there in 1914 and said to have found inspiration in producing his famous painting:
« Vor den Toren v. Kairuan », « Before the Gates of Kairouan », 1914-Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern
In his travel diaries , this huge artist notes :
"The color possesses me . There is no need to try to grasp it. It possesses me. Here is the meaning of this happy moment : the color and I are one. I am a painter"
This beautiful painting has become the emblem of our Olive Oil Juice
